Monday-we're so close!

Hi All, I'm sorry we haven't been able to keep you updated so here it is. Skip ahead if you only want the ending!
Monday of course we slept too late to sightsee because sleep didn't come until morning. At 2:30pm we headed to the airport, picking up our new friends John & Maggie from Dublin on the way. There we met 2 other couples from the US who I had already talked to and part of our adoption team, Ilya one of our translators and Andrei (the boss) our coordinator. Another delay and we were stuck in this airport until 9:30pm. It gave us all an opportunity to talk about our future children, names and how we all got here, along with trying some Russian food. I am thrilled we will be a group because doing this alone would be very hard. Poor Teresa & Steve are "luggageless" without much hope of seeing it until we return to Moscow. Thank goodness for their big carry-ons-future travelers take note.
We get to Orenburg after midnight and just like in an old black and white movie are whisked to waiting cars in a dark parking lot with huge Russian men standing around smoking (and hats of course!) and pointing. We get into the cars and hear "men come, women seat!" This means "men go get the luggage, women stay seated". 20 minutes to the hotel and we settle in for a few hours but of course can't sleep. We still have no idea what is on the agenda but did find out both of our children are in Orsk. Breakfast meeting is at 8:30am.
The room is brand new, this is good!
